Blue whale

How can something so big exist? It is alive from the tip of its head to the tip of its tail. Completely alive. Everything inside of is connected and working. It does the swimming with its mouth half shut, spending its entire life floating in something even bigger, even bluer. Sometimes deep down in it, but always coming up, religiously, emerging only the very toof its head for a couple of seconds.

If a fish, a very small one, bit the tail of the whale with all of its strength, would the whale feel it? Would its brain be able to process something so little happening 30 meters away from it?

If this same fish bit the whale’s tail at the exact same time an ant bit my toe, would I scream in pain before the whale does?
